After years of anticipation, Universal’s Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida has officially opened its gates to the public. Spanning over 750 acres, it is the largest theme park Universal has ever built — and arguably the most ambitious theme park project in history.
The Five Worlds of Epic Universe
Epic Universe is organized around a central hub called the Celestial Park, from which guests can access five distinct themed worlds:
1. Super Nintendo World
Step inside the Mushroom Kingdom with the groundbreaking Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and the family-friendly Yoshi’s Adventure. The interactive Power-Up Bands let you punch ? Blocks and collect coins throughout the land.
2. The Wizarding World — Ministry of Magic
Set in 1920s Paris, this Harry Potter expansion features the jaw-dropping Battle at the Ministry dark ride, where guests descend deep underground into the French Ministry of Magic.
3. How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk
A sprawling outdoor world with the innovative Hiccup’s Wing Gliders suspended coaster and the family coaster Dragon Racer’s Rally. The entire land is designed without visible barriers between guests and the viking village.
4. Universal Monsters
Classic horror meets cutting-edge technology in the Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment — a multi-path dark ride that uses autonomous vehicles and real-time AI to create a different experience every time.
5. Celestial Park (Hub)
The central area features the Stardust Racers dual-launch coaster, gardens, shops, and the park’s signature Constellation Carousel.
Tickets and Tips
Single-day tickets start at $159 for adults. We strongly recommend the Express Pass for your first visit — lines for Bowser’s Challenge and Ministry of Magic are averaging 120+ minutes during opening weeks.
